Polarization gating in plasmon-assisted low-intensity high harmonic generation

Abstract

We predict that generation of isolated attosecond pulses by sub-1-TW/cm2 pump pulses is possible by the polarization gating technique and plasmonic field enhancement in the vicinity of a specifically designed metal nanostructure.
