Algorithm for the Helmholtz equation within bounded polygonal volumes

Abstract

We present a surface integral algorithm for optical fields within a volume enclosed by a convex polygonal surface. The algorithm, utilizing fast fourier-transforms, reduces the dimensional scaling, inherent as problem in FDTD and FEM methods.
