Optical description and designs with annularly stitched aspheric surface

Abstract

In this paper, we propose an annularly stitched aspheric surface (ASAS) description method to increase the design freedom and flexibility of imaging system. Several interesting systems using ASAS are optimized, the design results verified the practicability of the ASAS.
