Visualizing Surface Aberration Contributions in Freeform Systems

Abstract

We present a method to calculate and visualize individual surface aberrations within freeform systems. The method is verified for rotational-symmetric systems, where a comparison to Aldis calculus is possible, and then extended to freeform systems.
