Abstract

The evolution of an F/3.8 Offner-Chrisp imaging spectrometer from all-spherical to freeform surfaces is presented. The optical performance was analyzed using spectral full-field displays. Furthermore, we demonstrate distortion correction without compromising performance by using freeforms.
