Fiber Bragg grating based spectroscopic investigations of spinal cord injuries

Abstract

In this study we propose a fiber Bragg grating based sensing probe that provides a highly sensitive strain measurement with cm-scale axial resolution inside a surrogate spinal cord. The study is relevant to in vitro studies of spinal cord injuries.
