Abstract

In this paper, we propose a novel technique for optimizing computer-generated holograms (CGHs) designed for a phase-only spatial light modulator (SLM). While a CGH is iteratively updated via gradient descent algorithm, we dynamically scale the reconstructed intensity profile so that its norm value matches the target intensity profile. The feasibility of this method to improve the reconstruction quality is verified through numerical simulation results.
