Inverse-designed silicon photonic circuit for nonreciprocal transmission

Abstract

Broadband nonreciprocal transmission is demonstrated in an inverse-designed silicon photonic circuit. Cascaded nonlinear resonators break the single-resonator fundamental bound on forward transmission at wide nonreciprocal intensity span.
