See-through metalens for augmented reality near-eye display with ultrawide viewing angle

Abstract

We propose a see-through metalens for augmented reality near-eye display. Experimental and theoretical results show that the metalens with a dual function operates as a transmissive eyepiece to dramatically increase viewing angle.
