Highly-efficient second-harmonic generation in semi-nonlinear nanophotonic waveguides

Abstract

We report second-harmonic generation in semi-nonlinear nanophotonic waveguides composed of titanium oxide and lithium niobate, with a theoretical normalized conversion efficiency of 2900% W1cm2, and an experimental efficiency of 650% W1cm2.
