Scalar and Vector Vortex Modes through SLM-based Kolmogorov Turbulence

Abstract

Both scalar and vector vortex modes are often used as transmission bases for mode division multiplexing. We demonstrate theoretically and experimentally that the crosstalk within either mode set due to turbulence is the same.
