Babinet Principle for Partially Coherent Fields

Abstract

Babinet theorem in an electromagnetic diffraction theory relates single-point quantities, intensities or field amplitudes, generated by complementary sources. We derived and demonstrated experimentally Babinet principle for two-point quantity, the spatial coherence function of the field.
