Abstract

Erbium doped zinc oxide and titanium dioxide thin films deposited by RF magnetron sputtering are optically characterized in the visible range. Through adjustment of deposition rates and layer thickness, doping concentration can be tailored with observable effect on the photoluminescence and Raman spectra of samples, after annealing.
