Distributed Brillouin Scattering Measurement with Sub-mm Spatial Resolution

Abstract

We report a highly localized SBS response with 780 µm spatial resolution in an As2S3 photonic integrated waveguide. This approach is used to characterize the waveguide based on its acousto-optic properties.
