Chiral Photonic Limiters Utilizing Topologically Protected Defect States

Abstract

We propose the design of waveguide limiters based on resonances via a topologically protected mode supported by coupled microwave resonator arrays. The operational principle is demonstrated by theoretical analysis and scattering measurements.
