Compact hyper-spectrometer based on metasurfaces at visible wavelengths

Abstract

We present an ultra-compact hyper-spectrometer using only planar metasurface lenses and a CMOS camera. Spectral resolutions as small as approximately 300 pm (detector-limited) and an overall working range exceeding 130nm at visible wavelengths are achieved.
