Modeling the Evolution of Spatial Entanglement with non-Gaussian Beams

Abstract

We study the dynamics of spatial entanglement during propagation and experimentally observe its migration between amplitude and phase. To accommodate non-Gaussian biphotons, we generalize the “beam quality factor” M2 from classical laser theory.
