Subluminal speed of higher orders of physical light beams

Abstract

We report the dependence of light’s speed delay to the mode indices of higher beam orders. We demonstrated this by calculating the group velocity of Laguerre Gauss beam with orbital order ℓ and radial order 𝑝.
