Corruption of Refractive Index Measurements of Spheres using Quantitative Phase Microscopy

Abstract

Recent Quantitative Phase Microscopy experiments have measured the refractive index of a cell nucleus to be lower than the cytoplasm. We suggest a potential error capable of corrupting these measurements.
