Gain optical nonlinearities and non-volatile switching in photonic metamaterials

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Extremely large resonant nonlinearities can be obtained in all-dielectric and plasmonic metamaterials through the exploitation of optomechanical and thermal response of the nanostructures, that can be additionally enhances by the use of superconductors.
