Apodized Grating for Silicon Tunable Delay Lines

Abstract

We investigated three designs of apodized silicon grating waveguides for delay line applications. A tunable delay of 140ps/mm for wavelength tuning and 130ps/mm/V for voltage tuning has been achieved in our best design.
