Monolithic High-Index-Contrast Stretchable Photonics

Abstract

We demonstrated stretchable, high-index-contrast photonic devices monolithically integrated on a PDMS elastomer substrates. The devices can sustain 42% strain and 3,000 stretching cycles without measurable optical performance degradation.
