Ancilla-aided recovery of quantum super-sensitivity diminished by decoherence

Abstract

The quantum super-sensitivity of phase estimation in two-photon interferometery is diminished by decoherence. We show that this quantum advantage can be restored by employing an ancillary optical mode.
