Unraveling Tissue Metabolism using Endogenous, Two-photon Imaging: Mechanisms and Diagnostic Biomarkers

Abstract

Changes in optical metabolic signals related to the intensity, lifetime and spatial localization of endogenous fluorescence are associated with alterations in specific biosynthetic and bioenergetic cellular pathways, which can serve as diagnostic and therapeutic targets.
