Towards attosecond pulse generation in the X-ray regime

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

A laser architecture based on the frequency synthesis of optical parametric chirped-pulse amplifiers is discussed. The apparatus keeps promise to generate multi-TW, high-power, light-transients, presenting a new route toward keV attosecond pulses.
