In-Amplifier Mid-IR Supercontinuum Generation in a Single-mode Er-doped Fluoride Glass Fiber

Abstract

Supercontinuum generation from 2.6 to 3.5μm is demonstrated in a single-mode fluoride EDFA seeded by an OPG source emitting 400ps pulses at 2.7μm. This approach is promising for the development of sources emitting around 3-5μm.
