Fast Random Event Detection Using Optical Frequency Comb

Abstract

Application of tunable optical parametric frequency combs in spectral decomposition and detection of the non-repetitive high-speed and low SNR signal is discussed. A significant improvement in detection sensitivity is reported for the newly introduced receiver architecture.
