Master Equation Approach for Quantum Noise in Atomic Systems for Gravitational-Wave Detection

Abstract

We use the master equation approach to compute the quantum noise in three different types of atomic systems and then compare the results to the Caves model for phase-insensitive amplifier/absorber, with application to Gravitational-Wave detection.
