Circularly Polarized Light Detection with Hot Electrons in Chiral Plasmonic Metamaterials

Abstract

We report on a circularly polarized light detector based on chiral plasmonic metamaterials and hot electron injection. The detector has the ability to distinguish left and right hand circularly polarized light without additional optical elements.
