Towards Automated Deterministic Comb Generation in Microresonators: Overcoming Thermal Shift

Abstract

We present a computer automated method to generate optical frequency combs in microring resonators and measure its characteristics in fine changes in frequency detuning taking advantage of thermal red shift at thermal equilibrium points.
