Active Plasmonic Metamaterials and Greatly Enhanced Light Absorption by Monolayer Graphene

Abstract

We report our recent progress on active plasmonic metamaterials for electro-optic modulator applications, and experimental demonstration of greatly enhanced light absorption (over 40%) by monolayer graphene in a broadband (from visible to near infrared) spectrum.
