Intrinsically Low Brillouin Gain Fibers (How Low Can You Go?)

Not Accessible

Your library or personal account may give you access

Abstract

Described herein is a set of optical fibers that possess intrinsically low Brillouin gain. Proper compositional tailoring of the material comprising the fiber, whether crystalline or glassy, can substantially suppress, or even remove, Brillouin scattering.
