Spectroscopy of Anisotropic Optical Absorption and Luminescence in Rubrene Single Crystals

Abstract

We determine polarization dependent absorption and emission spectra in rubrene and relate them to the molecular properties and crystal structure, identifying the important role played by vibronic induced depolarization in determining the luminescence spectra.
