Hybrid Plasmonic Terahertz Fibers for Sensing Applications

Abstract

A novel plasmonic THz fiber featuring metallic wires in a dielectric cladding is studied for resonant sensing applications. Introduction of even lossless analytes into the fiber core leads to significant changes in the modal losses.
