Interaction of diffuse light with rough dielectric interfaces

Abstract

We study the reflection of light by randomly rough dielectric interfaces under direct and diffuse illumination. Depending on the dielectric constant and the roughness parameters, the roughness can increase or decrease the reflectivity of the sample.
