Limits of Diffusive Transport to an Optical Biosensor and the Impact of Optical Forces

Abstract

The detection limits of photonic crystal resonator biosensors are investigated numerically and experimentally. Particle transport to the resonator is by diffusion from microfluidic flow, and the impact of optical forces on transport is also investigated.
