Comparison of a Polar Symmetry Wavefront Sensor with the Hartmann-Shack Sensor on in vivo Highly Aberrated Eyes

Abstract

A polar symmetry wavefront sensor was developed and compared with the Hartmann-Shack sensor for highly aberrated in vivo eyes. Alignment with the center of the pupil is simpler and more intuitive with this new sensor.
