Quantum Dots as tools for Quantum Technologies

Abstract

Self-assembled quantum dots possess atom-like properties despite being embedded in a chip. I will give a snapshot of the state-of-the-art, as well as a plausible outlook in utilizing quantum dots quantum information processing and metrology.
