Manipulation of the Laser Properties through Guiding in Plasma Channels

Abstract

Plasma channels allow for guiding of intense laser pulses over many Rayleigh lengths, enhancing the laser-plasma interaction. Theory and experimental results are presented on laser properties during guiding such as mode, dispersion, and group velocity.
