Seismic tilt-noise measured in-situ by a mid-size highly-sensitive laser gyroscope

Abstract

A mid-size laser gyroscope (sensitivity 2·10−9 (rad/s/)/Hz) has been recently installed in the central area of VIRGO gravitational antenna to measure the tilt-noise of seismic origin. First results are here reported.
