Radial Polarization Interferometer

Abstract

We demonstrate a new interferometer based on interference of radially and azimuthally polarized beams. The spatially varying intensity pattern provides spatial and phase information improving displacement and phase-change measurements compared with a conventional Michelson interferometer.
