Nonlinear High-Resolution Imaging of Eumelanin and Pheomelanin Distributions in Normal Skin Tissue and Melanoma

Abstract

Two-color two-photon spectroscopy allows us for the first time to image the distribution of eumelanin and pheomelanin in tissue slices, giving histology-like detail and highlighting chemical and morphological changes in melanoma compared to benign lesions.
