All-Fiber Isolator Based on Faraday Rotation

Abstract

An all-fiber isolator with optical isolation of 18 dB is demonstrated. The fiber Faraday rotator uses 56-wt% terbium-doped silica fiber, and the fiber polarizers are Corning SP1060 single-polarization fiber.
