Slow-Light Structure Based Exponential Gyro: Performance Analysis

Abstract

We study the performance of degenerate-modes CROW gyroscopes, and derive expression for the exponential sensitivity. Shot-noise sets a lower bound on the detectable rotation rate, which is significantly lower than that of a comparable FOG.
