Reconstruction of Short Pulses via Transverse Second-Harmonic Generation in Disordered Media

Abstract

We study experimentally second-harmonic generation by two noncollinear beams in disordered ferroelectric crystals and demonstrate implementation of this process in a novel approach for fs-pulse reconstruction, enabling full retrieval of pulse profile, phase, and front-tilt.
