The Hyperlens: From Metamaterials to Metadevices

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We propose an approach to far-field optical imaging beyond the diffraction limit, based on metamaterials with strong dielectric anisotropy. Such imaging systems allow image magnification, are robust with respect to material losses and can be fabricated by adapting existing metamaterial technologies.
