Controlling Cavity Reflectivity with a Single Quantum Dot

Abstract

We demonstrate resonant scattering and giant optical nonlinearity from a semiconductor quantum dot strongly coupled to a photonic crystal cavity. The coherent manipulation has applications for classical and quantum information processing.
