Abstract

We report an all solid state laser generating average output power of 3.1 W at 590 nm. The laser consists of a diode-side-pumped Nd:YAG module which produces 1064 nm fundamental radiation, an intracavity BaWO4 Raman crystal which generates the first Stokes output at 1180 nm and a KTP crystal which frequency-doubles the first-Stokes output to 590 nm.
