Channel interference and information rate in an orbital angular momentum multiplexed free-space optical link

Abstract

The effect of atmospheric turbulence on the crosstalk among orbital angular momentum (OAM) states in an OAM-multiplexed free-space optical communication link is studied via numerical simulations. Information rates of the multi-channel system are computed.
