Multi-photon microscopy in biological tissue with ultrashort shaped pulses

Abstract

Multi-photon imaging with ultrashort (~10 fs) pulses has been limited by phase distortions introduced by microscope objectives. Here we present a number of advantages in biomedical imaging gained by phase-corrected and phase shaped femtosecond pulses.
